Board Members’ mid-year review meeting of the Afghanistan Cricket Board was held on Tuesday, May 24, in Kabul, Afghanistan. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Mirwais Ashraf, the Chairman of the ACB.

To commence the meeting, Mr. Naseeb Khan welcomed the board members to the meeting and stated that they believe in a consultative approach and would always consult the esteemed board members when required. 

Activity Report Jan-May 2022:
During the meeting, a summary report of organization's activities, achievements, challenges and recommended solutions during the first five months of the year was provided to the board members. The report included participation in the ICC meetings where the chairman Mr. Mirwais Ashraf, was granted ICC board membership, as well as the training and preparation camp in UAE and the recently held Green Afghanistan One Day Cup 2022. The board members appreciated the efforts of the ACB management for their efficient leadership and satisfactory achievements in the first half of the year. 

Organizational Structure Draft Presentation: 
ACB Board Members were also provided with the draft of the new organizational structure aiming to make ACB an effective and efficient organization, the board members advised the ACB Management to further review the structure, bring possible amendments and make it more comprehensive. 

Sponsorship Opportunities and issues: 
The board members were presented with the progress report of the Sponsorship status with various entities, they were also consulted on the National team’s sponsorship issue with the Sediki Group during the ICC Men’s T20 world cup 2021. The board members have pledged to work closely with the ACB in resolving the issue. 

APL and Shpageeza Cricket League 2022: 
During the meeting, the ACB management consulted the board members with the possible windows for conducting the 8th edition of the SCL as well as the 2nd edition of the Afghanistan Premier League. The respected board members ensured their full support and expressed their thoughts for different solutions as well as pledged to help ACB in generating more revenues.
