Kabul, December 02, 2023: The Afghanistan Cricket Board confirms that the AfghanAbdalyan (Afghanistan A) Team will meet the England Lions in a one-off three-day match tomorrow in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The match is planned as part of ACB plans in terms of organizing more fixtures for the AfghanAbdalyan Cricket Team to prepare for their upcoming cricketing assignments.
ACB Chairman Mr. Mirwais Ashraf: “We remain committed to providing more playing opportunities for our age-level and emerging teams that play a crucial role in the development of cricket in our country and serve as a backup for our senior teams”.
“England Lions is a competitive team, and competing against them in red-ball cricket will undoubtedly provide our players with a valuable experience, which will help them further improve their skills”. He added.
The AfghanAbdalyan team's tour of the UAE follows a recent white-ball series in Oman and their involvement in the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional List A Tournament 2023 in Nangarhar province.
