AfghanAtalan have put on a dominant performance to beat Ireland by 57 runs in the Series Decider and win the three-match T20I series 2-1 in Sharjah.

Afghanistan Skipper Rashid Khan won the toss for the third successive time in the series and opted to bat first in the series decider earlier this evening. Ibrahim Zadran (72*) scored his 6th T20I half-century and made amendments for his unfortunate few outings in the series. Mohammad Ishaq (27) and Sediqullah Atal (19) also chipped in with important runs to help AfghanAtalan finish the inning at 155/7.

Naveen Ul Haq (3/10) started off the 2nd inning with some excellent bowling display as he provided Afghanistan with early success by removing Andy Balbirnie and Lorcan Tucker with two successive deliveries. Fazal Haq Farooqi then removed Paul Stirling with an excellent in swinging delivery to help Afghanistan to three early wickets.

Azmatullah Omarzai was clubbed for a boundary on his very first delivery but then he came back really well and struck four times in his four overs conceding only 5 runs off his next 23 deliveries to return with some outstanding figures of 4/9 off his four overs. Rashid Khan (1/12) and Nangyal Kharoti (1/26) also chipped in with wickets to help Afghanistan bundle out Ireland for 98 runs to complete a 57-run victory as well as a 2-1 series win.

Azmatullah Omarzai was named as the Stylish Player of the Match for 4/9 off his four overs. Ibrahim Zadran was adjudged as the player of the Match for his unbeaten 72 runs, whereas Rashid Khan was awarded the best player of the series for his 8/45 off his 12 overs in the series.
